My Past Thinking Should Never Limit My Potential …
I must first bypass the preset conforming factors of my mind
to move ahead into critical new fields:
Jim is a new member in my We Got Friends downline who asked the other day, “I flipped when I saw this company with all the products, services and how much money I can make. But I know some smart people who ignore or even reject it. Is it the company’s fault or their failure?”
Good question, Jim, I ask why people wear blinders that see only backwards or sideways not ahead at a blindingly different accelerating future especially with the Digital On-Demand Economy.
It’s really a matter of readjusting their mindsets beyond self-dialogue and preset conditions to new concepts they can learn for success.
Let’s consider this question from the point of view as a teacher meeting a new class of students.
“Welcome, today my prepared lesson plan has 2 objectives based on research and factual experience about Network Marketing Success in a Digital Marketplace:
- How to work with experts in the greatest wealth digital economy to save and make money
- How to update the network marketing system with leads and expert closers by using the best leverage and duplication plan to make residual profits.”
So now I face a group of unknown would-be prospects with some assumptions…
First, I assume they are genuinely committed to learning or not. Or are they just patently curious looking for a quick answer or do they really care to learn principles that work? It’s almost impossible to teach well if people have undetermined or habituated mindsets.
Some may be eager-eyed sparked by ever-present Big Money advertisements of money in their hands and care free riches, but I can’t start there because the work ethic is required for any achievement. But, if interested, I can show a more direct method to financial goals with good intentions to try and build bridges that work, not hyperbole or dreams without means.
Second, there is a lack of context based on what I experienced or understand about what came before, what’s next to it, how it works, what is the language of network marketing in both words and concepts. Without this background, this content may be something new with fair questions if it will truly work for others as well.
Therefore, with inconstancy there might be a sense of fear. Any learning creates change, and change is uncertain, an easy scary denial. There may be discomfort to feel briefly incompetent just before understanding … what if we know that something can be done, but we don’t know how to do it (yet). Doubt steps in as fear’s side-kick.
However, at all levels, I assume some connection because learning is not a lonely venture done in a tower, with a laptop. Communication has always been the key to interact with people or systems to really comprehend how it fits together.

For example, I’ve found speaking with prospects who want to make a lot of money but don’t understand the full capacity of We Got Friends’ compensation plan or how to capitalize on a Nitroline. Always curious, but without experience, they underestimate the massive spillover of a binary system with 20% commission on the smallest leg and forego to make commission from ONE total global Nitroline with 4 only personal members!
So, Jim, as you can see many reasons and assumptions are necessary to precede any decision with personal mindset as regulator, old or new. As marketers, as in a classroom, we can only hope to inform, inspire and even educate.
BOTTOM LINE
Personal Changes Start with Self Dialogue
Who you are is the sum total of your knowledge, experiences and self-beliefs. But knowledge is useless if your unconscious beliefs obstruct you from reaching what you deserve with no tangible reason other that an idea is new.
The really exciting part of the New Digital Age is you don’t need to have that amount of knowledge to play the game if you have the right mindset and tools. No more pre-conceived notions about what network marketing business works better … disruptions are common with advancing technologies — why not a home business?
Worst case scenario, you may never take a look because you focus on common obstacles as large and foreboding as you want to make them.
